I can certainly say I am an interesting person, or rather, I believe there isn’t a single person on this planet who isn’t interesting!
I was born where philosophy was born! 🙂 So, I come from a quite “colorful” lineage: Western Turkey, Greece, Crete/Chania, Thessaloniki, Izmir, Istanbul, Tekirdag, Afyonkarahisar, Bulgarian, Tarnovo… Actually, my ancestors were the immigrants of Ottoman Empire.
I was born in Izmir – the most beautiful city in Turkey! (yes, that’s a “slightly” biased statement!) — and here a three years old Hatice (a little bit “serious” : )

In high school, I began to engage with “serious” matters. I had become a “young woman” who pondered societal issues! Those were also the years I developed my work discipline. Here’s a snapshot from my highschool graduation moment : )
Getting a little bit grower.. Before an exam preparation:
During my undergraduate years, I developed an interest in theological issues: the value of goodness, the meaning of life, the metaphysics of being human. While pondering another deep conundrum, here’s a snapshot… (of course, I didn’t skip the selfie again!)
After a nice travel, with my lovely mother:
“This is exactly where I found my niche!” I said, at my master’s graduation:
“If I had had the second life, I would have certainly been a traveler” That is a moment from London, National Library:
And exploring northern Britain…

The journey continues in Edinburgh:
After submitting the first chapter of my PhD thesis! 🙂
After taking the first comments of my first PhD chapter, at James McCune Building, Glasgow:
